Walk-In Legal Clinic

PWJC’s Walk-In Legal Clinic offers free legal assistance for domestic violence, sexual assault, and elder abuse victims and survivors. Consultations with an attorney will be available on a walk-in basis or by appointment Monday-Friday during normal business hours (9am-5pm). PWJC also collaborates with community-based organizations that offer social services to victims. Additionally, the clinic provides bilingual legal services, education and outreach on domestic violence issues and the law to communities in Westchester and Putnam Counties.

 

Clinic attorneys do not provide legal representation* but can answer questions about:

  • Child & Spousal Support
  • Divorce
  • Consumer Debt
  • Advanced Healthcare Directives
  • Powers of Attorney
  • Wills
  • Voluntary Guardianship
  • Public Benefits
  • Housing
