Pace Law Ranked #3 for Careers in Public Service Law
In its honor roll of the top 20 schools, the magazine ranked Pace Law School #3, six points higher than its last survey conducted two years ago. To determine the rankings, the editors examined curricula, job placement data, and student debt and repayment options.
“It is no surprise to us that Pace Law was recently named one of the best law schools for public interest law,” said David Yassky, Dean of Pace Law School. “Many of our students go on to serve the public through positions in government and the non-profit sector – advocating for victims, protecting the environment, representing ordinary citizens and advancing the public good. Demand for public interest lawyers is intense and we are proud that many of our accomplished graduates are filling that need.”
In its cover article, “preLaw” noted that many students seek out such programs to put them “…on the front lines, fighting poverty and injustice. They want to be in courtrooms, advocating for the little guy.” To prepare for these careers, Pace Law School offers students extensive opportunities in its clinical programs and externships.
