Haub Law student Lili Caparosa was selected as the recipient of The New York Bar Foundation’s 2021 Honorable Joel K. Asarch Elder Law and Special Needs Section Scholarship.

Lili learned about this opportunity through the Center for Career and Professional Development’s Jill Backer. She notes, “[a]s someone who has not had the opportunity to participate in a clinic yet, I was unsure if I should apply for the scholarship, but I am so happy that I did. I have a strong interest in elder law and special needs and this will allow me to continue to learn about these areas of law.” Lili has been working at the Cuddy Law Firm as a law clerk and will continue to do so this summer, further enhancing her knowledge in these areas of law.

The Honorable Joel K. Asarch Elder Law and Special Needs Section Scholarship was established in 2009 with a gift from the New York State Bar Association’s Elder Law and Special Needs Section and renamed in 2013 in honor of the esteemed Honorable Joel K. Asarch. As stated by the New York Bar Foundation, “[t]he purpose of the scholarship is to help create a network and cultivate relationships among lawyers practicing elder law and law students planning to practice elder law and to advance the practice of elder law among lawyers throughout the State of New York.”

Congratulations, Lili!
