Caroline Chen

Caroline Chen is the 2022-2023 LLM Environmental Law Fellow at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University. Caroline most recently served as a supervising attorney in the housing rights practice of Mobilization for Justice, Inc., in New York City, where she litigated and supervised attorneys handling defensive and affirmative matters on behalf of indigent New Yorkers. Prior to finding her calling in public interest work, Caroline was a Commercial Litigation Associate at a large law firm, and she began her career at the Office of the Corporation Counsel where she led civil rights and commercial and construction matters.

Since obtaining her JD from Pace Law in 2006, with a certificate in Environmental Law, Caroline has litigated hundreds of civil matters from inception to post-trial appeal, in administrative hearings and civil, state and federal courts. She has won jury and bench trials and negotiated countless settlements. Caroline is looking forward to applying her litigation experience to her goal of fighting for our natural environment and to achieve environmental justice for our most vulnerable communities.
