Professor Nicole Aldridge-Henry is a fierce and passionate litigator wearing several hats both inside and outside the courtroom. Currently she is a Partner at the Westchester firm of Black Marjieh & Sanford LLP and dominates as a fierce and passionate trial attorney focusing on the areas of general liability, premises liability and construction-related matters. Formerly, she served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel with the New York City Office of Corporation Counsel, and successfully defended the City of New York, its composite agencies and employees in civil jury trials in the Bronx Tort Trial Unit, resulting in several defense verdicts.
Professor Aldridge-Henry is the recipient of the New York City Bar Association’s 2016 Municipal Affairs Award. She was also the recipient of the Office of Corporation Counsel’s 2011 Legal Rookie of the Year Award, an honor given to a select few outstanding Assistant Corporation Counsels during their first year of service.
Professor Aldridge-Henry serves as a member of the Grievance Committee for the Ninth Judicial District, appointed to serve by Presiding Justice of the Second Department Alan Scheinkman.
Demonstrating her commitment to giving back and inspiring youths in the law, she volunteers as a trial coach for seventh and eighth grade students in the Bronx who compete in the yearly Thurgood Marshall Mock trial competitions.
