Haub Law announces strong employment results for the Class of 2017 with an overall employment rate of 92%, once again placing it among the top of its peer schools in employment results. More than 85% of the class is employed in full-time, long term positions preferring a law degree or where Bar passage is required up 3% over last year’s record number.

“Haub Law ranks in the top 50 law schools in the country for job placement after graduation into either full-time, long-term jobs that require bar passage, or jobs for which a law degree offers an advantage,” said Dean David Yassky. “These results demonstrate that Haub Law’s approach of providing a rigorous curriculum and practice-based learning opportunities gives students marketable skills that will get them high-quality legal jobs after graduation.”

In 2016, Haub Law was recognized for having the most improved employment rate in the nation over the past five years. In that time, the Law School has also jumped 15 places in the “U.S. News and World Report” rankings.

“This success is indicative of our ongoing mantra to the students that they must graduate with practical experience and heightened networking skills,” said Assistant Dean of Career and Professional Development Jill Backer. “Just stellar academics is no longer enough. Entry level jobs can still be somewhat elusive so students need to be firing on all cylinders out of the gate. At Haub Law, the individualized counseling matched with individual employer outreach is a key to the Center for Career and Professional Development’s success.”

Results were reported to the American Bar Association and posted to school websites earlier this month.
