Is the Tampon Tax Unconstitutional?

The campaign to eliminate the tampon tax is continuing to gather speed, and the work of Pace Law professors Bridget Crawford and Emily Gold Waldman is at the forefront. In a new podcast, the professors discuss their article on the topic, their involvement in a Columbia Law-hosted tampon tax symposium for academics and practitioners, and where they see this movement going next. Listen to the full discussion.

Their work is aslo featured in The Nation's "Is the Tampon Tax Unconstitutional?" Their argument that the tax violates the 14th amendment has impacted the movement to repeal sales tax on menstrual hygiene products in 35 states.
