Black History Month

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University and the Westchester County community joined together in a celebration of Black History Month. Professors Gloria-Browne Marshall and Randolph McLaughlin, spoke about the history of people of African descent in the United States. They emphasized the fact that the first people of African descent who came to our shores were not enslaved, and then traced the history as it evolved into the deplorable practice of slavery.  Finally, both professors discussed implications for the challenges we face today.
