Pace University's Elisabeth Haub School of Law today announced a scholarship gift of $25,000 from Anthony J. Enea, Esq., a 1985 Haub Law graduate and managing member of Enea, Scanlan & Sirignano, LLP. The Anthony J. Enea, Esq. Elder Law Scholarship will make awards to a fifth-semester third-year student who has excelled in elder law courses in their first two years of law school at Haub Law.

“We are grateful for the generosity of esteemed attorney Anthony J. Enea in providing this scholarship,” said Haub Law Dean Horace Anderson. “Anthony has dedicated his career to elder law and this scholarship will lend support to students at Haub Law who share the same interest in protecting the rights of seniors, the disabled, and their families. We are honored to have the support of Anthony as a friend, alumnus of Haub Law, and member of our Board of Visitors.”

Over the years, Mr. Enea has dedicated significant time and support to the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University, both as an involved alumnus and as a member of the Board of Visitors of the Law School. Additionally, in 2018, Mr. Enea was the recipient of the Distinguished Service Award at the Annual Law School Leadership Awards Dinner.

“I am honored and privileged to have the opportunity to establish the Anthony J. Enea, Esq. Elder Law Scholarship at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University,” said Anthony J. Enea. “The Law School taught me the importance of giving back to our legal community. My decades of involvement in both the State and Westchester County Bar Associations, as well as the lectures I give and the articles I write, are directly attributable to my desire to give back and help mentor.”

An “AV” Rated Preeminent Attorney (Martindale-Hubbell) and strong leader in Westchester’s legal community, Anthony Enea is president of the Westchester County Bar Foundation and chair of the New York State Bar Association’s 50+ Lawyers Section. He is also a past president of the Westchester County Bar Association and past chair of the New York State Bar Association’s Elder Law and Special Needs Section. Named Westchester County’s Leading Elder Care Attorney at the Above the Bar Awards, Mr. Enea’s practice areas include Wills, Trusts & Estates, Elder Law; Medicaid asset protection planning; Medicaid applications (home care and nursing home); special needs planning and guardianships (Article 81 and 17-A). He is the author of hundreds of published articles as well as a frequent lecturer to seniors, the disabled, attorneys, CPAs and financial advisors, with respect to the planning options available to seniors and their rights.

Mr. Enea continued, “I look forward to recognizing the hard work, academic and community achievements of Haub’s elder law students for years to come.”
