2007 alumnus Samuel Brown named Rising Star

Samuel L. Brown was named to Law360’s Rising Stars for 2020, an annual compilation of lawyers under the age of 40 whose legal accomplishments transcend their age. Additionally, he was recognized by Benchmark as a leading litigation attorney age 40 or under in its annual 40 & Under Hot List. Samuel graduated cum laude from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University in 2007. During his time at Haub Law, he focused his studies on environmental law and was a member of the Pace Environmental Law Review. In 2014, Samuel joined Hunton Andrews Kurth (then Hunton & Williams LLP), having previously worked at the United States Environmental Protection Agency. Today, he is a partner with Hunton Andrews Kurth in their San Francisco office, focusing on  domestic and international environmental and natural resource matters. In a recent interview with Law360, Samuel noted that he went to law school to focus on environmental law and that is why he chose Pace, “given its environmental law program, which was excellent.” Read more here.
