Adjunct Professor Stephen Florek is currently the managing attorney at Florek & Counsel, LLC, a boutique law firm with offices in Westchester County, New York and Sussex County, New Jersey. Florek & Counsel, LLC provides transactional and litigation services to business owners, corporations, REITs, investment funds, and private and institutional lenders. Professor Florek’s primary areas of practice sound in general business, commercial and corporate law; intellectual property licensing and enforcement; commercial real estate transactions and lending; and foreclosure prosecution and defense.
In addition to his role at Florek & Counsel, LLC, Stephen serves as “Of Counsel” to the Acocella Law Group, P.C.; and is co-founder and general counsel to online e-retailer Medal Awards Rack. He has previously served in the capacity of general counsel for mortgage bank, RealFi Home Funding Corp., and as a senior attorney with the national consumer debtor legal rights firm CLG.
Professor Florek is admitted to practice law in the States of New York and New Jersey and before the U.S. Southern District of New York and the U.S. District of New Jersey.
He is a member of the several associations/organizations, including the NJ Bar Association, the NY Bar Association, the Westchester County Bar Association (Business & Commercial Law Committee and Intellectual Property Committee), the Sussex County Bar Association, Hampton Township Fire & Rescue – Volunteer Firefighter, and he is a Member of Greater Newton Chamber of Commerce.
