Erin Gleason Alvarez is an adjunct professor and Director of the Mediation Practicum at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University.  She is founder of Gleason Alvarez ADR, LLC where she serves as an arbitrator, mediator, and negotiation consultant. In addition, she is the founder and CEO of Take Charge Negotiations, which has helped train over 2,000 people on how to utilize mindfulness in negotiation since launching in 2019. Prior to founding her own companies, Gleason Alvarez served as a litigator and as in-house counsel. She is a member of the American Arbitration Association Commercial Arbitration and Mediation Panels, the CPR Institute Panel of Distinguished Neutrals, and the Resolute Systems New York and National Mediation Panels.  She serves as a Special Master for the Appellate Division of the New York State Supreme Court, First Department, a mediator for the Commercial Division of the Supreme Court of the State of New York, New York County, and a volunteer mediator for the Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts. 

Prior to her work as a neutral, Gleason Alvarez worked as a litigator and later oversaw the Global ADR Program at AIG.  She regularly facilitates programs on negotiation, mediation, and arbitration before bar associations, corporations, law firms, and other organizations and is a sought after speaker at various ADR-related speaking engagements and a published scholar on the topic. Gleason Alvarez has also received recognition in the field as a Higginbotham Fellow with the American Arbitration Association and has been recognized by “Who’s Who Legal: Mediation” as a leading mediator from 2020 to date.
