This course provides the practical knowledge and skills necessary to develop expertise in handling matrimonial matters from initial client contact through each step of the proceedings, including obtaining of marital history and financial information and preparation of court papers. Emphasis is placed on the negotiation and drafting of separation agreements. Students actively participate as counsel in all phases of the process. Students are urged to take the basic Family Law course prior to enrolling in this class.
