Public Interest Law Center

The Public Interest Law Center (“PILC”) was created in 2008 to bring together Pace Law School’s many public interest activities and programs, support students in their aspirations to become public interest attorneys, and to provide comprehensive public interest career development services. The PILC assists students to secure summer internships and post graduate fellowships and offers a full calendar of career panels, speakers, and workshops. The PILC's Public Interest Summer Fellowship provides funds for students working at unpaid summer internships ranging from direct legal services to margenalized communities to international human rights to district attorneys offices to environmental advocacy. Our Pro Bono Justice Program offers opportunities for students to get off campus and into the community, where they provide legal assistance in areas ranging from mortgage foreclosure and predatory lending to domestic violence, consumer credit, and community legal education.
