NY Court of Appeals holds special session at Pace Law

Pace Law students gained real-world insight into the judicial process when the judges of the New York Court of Appeals held session on the School’s campus for three days in April.  Typically sitting in Albany, Chief Judge Jonathan Lippman and the six associate judges heard cases at the Judicial Institute, which is located on the grounds of Pace Law School. This special session was scheduled from April 28 to April 30.  The occasion allowed Pace Law students an opportunity for experiential learning from some of New York’s most esteemed jurists.

The Judicial Institute functions in partnership with Pace Law School and the court system to provide education and training for the judges and justices of the New York State Unified Court System. The judges of the Court of Appeals are appointed by the Governor and serve 14 year terms. This unique opportunity will be available to all students enrolled at Pace Law School.
