PWJC's Love Isn't Campaign

What better time than Valentine’s Day 2023 to launch our New ‘Love isn’t’ Campaign aimed at preventing and educating unacceptable relationship patterns and domestic violence? The focus of the campaign is to engage 15-34 year-olds in the conversation of what ‘Love isn’t - insulting, threatening, gaslighting, controlling or assaulting! 

Did you know females 18-34 experience the highest rates of intimate partner violence - NISVS 2010

OR  

Between the ages of 11-17yrs old, up to 20% of women or men first experience some form of  physical violence or stalking by an intimate partner - CDC NISVS 2016/2017

That means the key to prevention is providing earlier education, awareness and having important conversations around what ‘Love Isn’t’ with our teens and college students! Pace Women’s Justice Center is dedicated to educating and mainstreaming information on how to identify if you are in an unhealthy or abusive relationship and how to get help.  

Starting (February 1st -14th) Valentine’s Day we are excited to launch our ‘Love Isn’t’ media campaign. While our focus is to bring awareness to the warning signs of an unhealthy or abusive relationship, we want to keep a positive spin on love and the campaign message.  So we are asking our followers and supporters to please join us in sharing a post or video on your favorite social media platform in support of the campaign telling us WHAT LOVE IS to you?   

WHAT LOVE IS to you, can be a single word, an action, a feeling, or a thought.  We only ask that all posts and videos are positive, friendly, inspiring, and fun.  As an option, you can find custom graphics in our Dropbox folder.

Patient, kind, consistent, without judgment,  feeling safe, thoughtful, a partner that understands me, my partner bringing me morning coffee, a foot rub, a sweet morning text, a hug after a hard day, someone to watch reality shows with, someone who makes me feel seen

We’re also offering the ‘Love Isn’t’ graphic design on t-shirts, hoodies and ceramic mugs at Bonfire/Shop/PWJC  identifying a series of behaviors that definitively ‘Love Isn’t’ and providing our contact information via QR code.  For more information go to PWJC.  or contact  jkleidman@law.pace.edu
