THE ELISABETH HAUB SCHOOL OF LAW  ANNOUNCES JOB PLACEMENT RATE 15% ABOVE THE NATIONAL AVERAGE IN JOBS WHERE LEGAL DEGREES ARE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED

Haub Law outpaces all peer institutions in overall employment results and ranks third in the metro New York area

WHITE PLAINS, NY – Pace University’s Elisabeth Haub School of Law announces strong employment results for the Class of 2017 with an overall employment rate of 92%, once again placing it at the top of its peer schools in employment results. Notably, more than 85% of the class is employed in full-time, long term positions preferring a law degree or where bar passage is required. This places Haub Law 15% above the national average for placement in these positions. Haub Law ranks third in the New York metro area and first among its peer institutions.

“Haub Law consistently ranks in the top quarter of all law schools in the country for job placement into full-time, long-term jobs that require passing the bar, or ones where having a JD degree offers a distinct advantage,” said Interim Dean Horace Anderson. “Our strong job placement numbers demonstrate that our unique approach of combining rigorous classroom learning and practice-based experiences positions students to get high-quality jobs in a diverse range of legal fields.”

“This success is indicative of our approach to helping students gain work experience in legal jobs during law school to build a marketable resume,” said Assistant Dean of Career and Professional Development Jill Backer. “At Haub Law, we work with individual students to match employers with students who will succeed in those jobs.”

Employment results were included in The National Association for Law Placement’s (NALP) Employment for the Class of 2017 Selected Findings which were released today.
