A Wild and Precious Life:
an evening with Judith Kasen-
Windsor and Joshua Lyon
Join us for an intimate look at the life of
civil rights icon Edie Windsor, whose 2013
Supreme Court case victory granted
government recognition for her marriage
to partner Thea Spyer, setting the stage for
marriage equality in the U.S.
Edie’s surviving spouse, Judith Kasen-Windsor and American journalist
Joshua Lyon give a fascinating view into the little-known details of Edie
Windsor’s life, work, and loves, from her adventures in the lesbian bars
of 1950s Greenwich Village while pursuing a master’s degree in
mathematics at NYU, to her work at IBM in the early days of tech, as well
as her activist awakening and epic love affair with Thea Spyer.
Windsor’s memoir, A WILD AND PRECIOUS LIFE was published on
October 8, 2019, in time for National Coming Out day.
Wednesday, July 15th on Zoom, 5:30 PM
