(please note: Mr. Stanford James will speak about support for law students. The Dave Nee Foundation was founded in 2006 following the suicide of David Nee, then a third-year law student studying for the Bar exam at Fordham University. The foundation honors Dave’s memory by combating the social stigma associated with depression and by seeking to prevent the loss of life through suicide, especially among law students and attorneys. The foundation has an innovative and unique program, Uncommon Counsel, which fights depression and works to prevent suicide among law students. Uncommon Counsel educates law students about depression, its prevalence in the legal profession, and the availability and effectiveness of treatment.)
