In the era of COVID-19 social distancing and large budget cuts to the state court system, attorneys and litigants are seeking alternative means, outside of traditional litigation, to resolve their disputes.  Mediation programs administered by the courts have become an excellent way to settle cases in almost every area of law.  This program will discuss how court connected roster mediation programs work, where these programs are available (with a focus on NYC), and how to become a mediator.

Presented by Lisa Denig '09
