Intellectual Property

JD Candidates with an interest in IPLaw can choose from among Pace Law School’s 18 elective courses that range from copyright law and sports law to Trademark Practice and Procedure. To earn practical experience, students can participate in our constitutional law seminar that focuses on protected free speech, or they might pursue a corporate law externship. 

Our campus setting fosters extra-curricular activities. For students studying intellectual property law, we host a chapter of the student organization SEALS, the Sports, Entertainment and Arts Law Society. With Pace’s centralized location, our students also have access to companies across the metropolitan area such as IBM, which is headquartered in nearby Armonk and is one of the top ten recipients of patents within the U.S..
