Professor Martin-Valiquette practiced law in Canada and Italy before moving to New York. She has a private practice specialized in international business transactions. She is the current president of the World Trade Council of Westchester, and the 2008 recipient of the Averell Harriman International Trade Awards as the Service Provider of the Year. Professor Martin-Valiquette has a private practice in the field of corporate and commercial law and represents corporations with registered offices in the United States, Canada and Europe. She regularly advises clients in the U.S., Canada, and Europe on agency, distribution, and licensing agreements, and other legal issues related to cross-border transactions. Professor Martin-Valiquette is a member of the New York and Quebec Bars, and also practiced law in Europe for several years. She is the legal advisor for the Westchester Export Legal Assistance Network (ELAN), a federal trade assistance program.
