Professor Belfort is a practicing attorney at Ballard Spahr LLP in New York City with significant experience in securities litigation and regulatory defense. Prior to joining Ballard Spahr LLP, he worked as a judicial law clerk for a federal judge in Chicago, as a securities attorney at a midsized law firm in FiDi, and in the legal department of a Fortune 500 multinational banking and financial services corporation. In his career, Professor Belfort has represented brokerage firms and registered representatives with their responses to regulatory entities, directors of companies in securities fraud disputes, and stockholders in a proxy contest.
