George M. Melo is a licensed attorney with nearly two decades of experience representing and defending clients in all phases of complex high-stakes commercial and civil matters.  He is currently employed as the Head of Claims and Litigations, Americas Region, for a global leader in the transportation sector and mobility solutions provider. Prior to this current role, George spent nearly three years as General Counsel to a local construction General Contractor.  After graduating law school, George spent twelve-plus years at a national law firm where his litigation and alternative dispute resolution practice focused on complex product liability litigation and commercial disputes; representing both domestic and international clients.  George is an alumnus who graduated, cum laude, in 2000.

George regularly publishes and presents on topics ranging from alternative dispute resolution – mediation and arbitration, personal jurisdiction, e-discovery and contractual defense and indemnity matters.   As General Counsel, he was featured in VanGuard Law Magazine, Winter 2019.
