Pro Bono Justice Program
More in Pro Bono Justice Program
Pace Law is dedicated to contributing to the achievement of a more just society through professional education, legal scholarship, and service to those in need.
Central to this mission is the Public Interest Law Center’s vibrant Pro Bono Justice Program, which offers a range of concrete opportunities for Pace law students to assist underserved people, organizations, and communities.
The Pro Bono Justice Program enables Pace law students to gain valuable legal skills while responding to the community’s most pressing needs through pro bono projects and internship opportunities. Specific projects address legal and social problems including predatory lending, mortgage foreclosure, domestic violence, debtor/creditor issues, juvenile crime, and access to tax credits for low income individuals. Internships are available in a full range of nonprofit organizations and government offices in areas including civil rights, international human rights, civil legal services to the poor, criminal defense, and environmental justice.
The Public Interest Law Center sends out a weekly e-blast of training and volunteer opportunities. On-campus trainings can also be found on the Upcoming Events and Workshops page. Follow the link below for a list of current pro bono trainings and volunteer opportunities; some trainings are offered each semester, and others annually.
