Strengthening our Communities through Affordable Housing

May 11-12, 2021

The two-day virtual Hudson Valley Affordable Housing Summit will discuss new and innovative strategies for increasing and preserving affordable housing through partnerships and practices in real estate, health, finance, and services. On May 11th, experts from community development, restructuring, and real estate will come together to address the fragility of the rental housing market, including discussing the opportunities for owner “bail-outs”, resident ownership and long-term affordability, and tax credit investor exits and restructuring, including nonprofit’s right of first refusal to acquire low income housing tax credit projects at the end of the compliance period. On May 12th, land use, community health center experts, and hospital leaders will discuss the link between health and housing, including sharing innovative approaches as to ways in which anchor institutions, such as hospitals, are  increasing affordable housing in their communities by directly developing housing and by providing financial supports to their employees. Join us for either or both morning sessions. CLE and land use board member credits are available.
