Molly Masterton Rothschild
Molly Masterton Rothschild joined the Environmental Law Program as a Graduate Research Fellow in Fall 2015. After her fellowship, Molly joined the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) as a Project Attorney for the Ocean Program. She previously clerked for the Maine Supreme Judicial Court and worked as an environmental educator for the Wildlife Conservation Society.
Molly received her J.D. from the George Washington University Law School in 2014.  During law school, she co-authored two book chapters on the topics of international supply chain governance and regulation of emerging technologies. Her journal note, which proposed implementing a federal adaptive management framework for marine and hydrokinetic energy development, was published and received the Jamie Grodsky Prize for Environmental Law Scholarship.  Molly has interned for the U.S. Department of the Interior Solicitor's Office, Defenders of Wildlife, and the National Audubon Society.  She also served as President of the GW Environmental Law Association and Notes Editor for the GW's Journal of Energy and Environmental Law.  She was the 2014 recipient of the Charles and Kathryn Miller Environmental Law Award.
Molly received her B.A. in Environmental Sciences from Bowdoin College. She is admitted to the New York Bar and is a member of the New York State Bar Association Committee on Animals and the Law.
