Help law students afford public interest summer internships by donating items or services to the annual Public Interest Law Students Organization (PILSO) Auction. PILSO is currently accepting donations of items or services for their online auction in March. Donations can include retail items, tickets to sporting or cultural events, and services, such as training sessions or use of a vacation home for a weekend.
Every summer, law students who already shoulder the burden of $50-$100,000 in student loans work at unpaid summer internships at nonprofit organizations and governmental agencies that serve the poor and advocate for people’s rights. With the plight of the economy, these organizations are seeing increased caseloads and rely on their summer interns more than ever. Pace Law School’s PILSO raises funds to provide grants to students who spend their summers interning at these organizations.
PILSO’s biggest fundraiser of the year is an online auction. View last year's auction here.
All donors will receive a letter for their tax records indicating that they have made a tax-deductible gift. If you have an item to donate, please contact Leigh-Ann Enyame, Project Coordinator of the Public Interest Law Center, at email@example.com. Cash donations are also accepted.
