Land Use Law Center
The Land Use Law Center is dedicated to fostering the
development of sustainable communities in New York State.
Through its many programs, the Center
offers lawyers, land use professionals, citizens and developers
assistance that enables them to achieve sustainable development at
the local and regional level. Pace Law students work as Center
fellows, conducting research on cutting-edge land use practice
topics. More than sixty student papers have been
produced under this program, many of which have been published in
law reviews and journals. Students contributed significantly
to the Center's most encyclopedic publication, Well Grounded: Using
Local Land Use Authority to Achieve Smart Growth, published
nationally by The Environmental Law Institute. Click to

"Center Information" will give you more information
about the history of the Center and who we are. The
"Land Use Library" is a collection of information
ranging from our online database (L.U.C.A.S.), to details on how
to order publications, to a zoning tutorial for local
officials. Click on "Programs" to learn about the
subject areas and the services provided by the Center. Please
visit our new online ordinance
database at http://landuse.law.pace.edu.
It has over 700 separate sample ordinances and other resources for
local land use leaders and more are added monthly. Sincerely, Sean
