Papers of the Hon. John Carey

Justice John Carey served on the bench of the Supreme Court, Westchester County, New York, for many years beginning in 1988.  He presided over the notorious murder trials of Carolyn Warmus between 1990 and 1994.  This collection contains documents in connection with the Warmus trials and appeals, together with motions and decisions by Judge Carey in other criminal and civil matters, news articles, correspondence and notes.  The collection also includes videorecordings of news coverage of the Warmus trial.
