Interviewing, Counseling, and Negotiation
3 credit hours, Fall or Spring semester
In this course, taught by two faculty members, students assume the role of lawyers in small and large group exercises to learn the art and skill of interviewing, counseling, and negotiating. Students plan for and develop a case from beginng to end, and anticipate and deal with ethical issues. Simulation exercises are videotaped where appropriate. The course meets for two 90-minute sessions each week, during which most exercises are completed. Out-of-class work includes preparation and critique.
