Professor Scheier is a senior staff attorney with the Legal Aid Society's Criminal Defense Practice in Brooklyn, where he represents indigent defendants in all stages of criminal proceedings. Before joining the Legal Aid Society, Professor Scheier represented a wide range of clients in civil and criminal litigation and appeals in state and federal courts. He also has a Master’s degree in Journalism from New York University and covered legal matters for ABC News and Court TV.
