Faculty Access to Other Libraries

The Law Library participates in a number of consortia. As a member of the Pace University School of Law  faculty, you are granted on-site access to a variety of law and research collections at other libraries.

ALLDOG Law Libraries: Membership in the Association of Law Library Directors of Greater New York gives our community the opportunity to use other law school libraries in our region. If you need to use one of the ALLDOG law libraries, any reference librarian can issue a "green letter" which will enable you to gain access to that library. Also, be prepared to present your current Pace ID card. Since other schools may have different schedules, remember to call ahead for their hours of operation.

METRO Libraries: Pace Law Library is a member of METRO, which has over 250 library members. Any law librarian may issue a METRO referral card which gives researchers access to these collections, some of which are normally closed to the general public. Note that participation in the referral card program is voluntary and some libraries do have access restrictions. Please ask your Library Liaison or a Reference Librarian for information about using any of the METRO libraries.

WALDO Libraries: A final group of libraries with which Pace Law Library coordinates its efforts is the Westchester Academic Library Directors Organization (WALDO). WALDO is a cooperative venture among all the academic libraries in Westchester County, as well as the St. John's and Fordham's university libraries. Our agreement with WALDO invites Pace faculty members to any of the member libraries for the on-site use of materials and gives them borrowing privileges for the circulating materials in those libraries. To ensure admittance, please be sure to carry your current Pace ID. If you wish to borrow on-site, you will also need to have a WALDO sticker affixed to your ID card. You can obtain the sticker from your Library Liaison or from a Reference Librarian.
