Pace Law School Welcomes New Director of Development and Alumni Relations
WHITE PLAINS, New York, Mar. 7, 2007 – Pace Law
School welcomed James T. Hanley as the new Director of Development
and Alumni Relations on February 5, 2007. Jim previously was deputy
director at The Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT)
in New York City, where he was responsible for the institution’s
administrative and financial operations, including fund raising.
“I am pleased to announce that Jim Hanley has joined the Pace
community as the new Director of Development and Alumni Relations,”
said Dean Stephen J. Friedman. “He brings the experience and
commitment needed to build relationships and secure a strong future
for the Law School.”
Prior to his tenure at FIT, Hanley served as deputy director at the
Delaware Art Museum, where he directed the efforts of the
development staff and worked with the board on the museum’s $25
million capital campaign.
“The opportunity to join Pace at this time is a particularly
exciting one for me,” said Hanley. “I look forward to working with
the staff, faculty, alumni, and friends of the Law School to secure
the resources that will enable it to reach its full potential in
education, research, and service to the community.”
Hanley spent the first ten years of his career in corporate banking
as a relationship manager and business development officer. He has
an MBA, along with both undergraduate and graduate degrees in
architecture and a master’s degree in art history. Since joining the
nonprofit sector in 1993 his professional experience has been
primarily on the administrative side of museums, with a strong
emphasis on development.

Founded in 1976, Pace University School of Law has nearly 6,500 alumni/ae throughout the country. It offers full- and part-time day and evening JD programs on its White Plains, NY campus. The School also offers the Master of Laws in Environmental Law and in Comparative Legal Studies.
