Virtual Private Network (VPN)

Certain resources are not accessible when not on the Pace University campus(es); this is for security reasons.  Virtual Private Network (VPN) software can be used by all Pace Law School staff, faculty, and students to conform to this security restriction.  When logged on to the Pace network with VPN Software, one is able to connect to a “private” network through an encrypted “tunnel” that can be run through any Internet connection.  This enables secure access to private network resources by creating a virtual network connection.

To download and install the Pace University VPN software:

Note: The Pace VPN download page is only available from off-campus.  Hence, the http://vpn.pace.edu links listed below will only work from off-campus.  IPSecVPN clients are no longer supported. The Cisco AnyConnect VPN client is not supported by the Windows RT tablet due to O/S restrictions with that device.

  • Direct your browser to https://vpn.pace.edu
  • You will be prompted to login using your Pace Username and password
  • Select the appropriate version of VPN software for your computer’s Operating System
  • When the File Download dialog box appears, choose to Save to your disk
  • Click here for detailed instructions on installing Pace VPN software on your computer.

If for any reason you are unable to access or download the VPN software from http://vpn.pace.edu, the Law School Information Technology department in Aloysia Room 302, can provide you with a copy of the VPN software on CD, or can save it to your Flash or USB drive.  Call (914) 422-4290 or email us: LawIT@law.pace.edu and arrangements will be made to get you the VPN software.
