The PILC Public Interest Summer Fellowship

The PILC Fellowship funds students working at unpaid, off-campus public interest summer internships for which they are not receiving academic credit.  These may be in nonprofit organizations, international NGO’s, and government offices, including district attorney’s offices.  A limited number of fellowships can fund domestic or international travel for public interest summer work.  The fellowship cannot fund work at for-profit law firms, institutions, or judicial internships/clerkships.

The PILC Public Interest Summer Fellowship is a competitive grant program, and applicants are not guaranteed funding. A student who has already received a PILC Fellowship twice may not apply again for this funding.

Applications for the PILC Fellowship will be available early in the Spring semester.
