London Program: Selection of Faculty Office of Responsibility: Dean’s Office, x4407

 

1. Faculty will be selected from all applications received by November 1st of each year, for the spring semester of the following academic year.
   
2. The selection will be made by consensus among the Dean of Law, the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, and the Director of the London Program.

Applications must be received in the Office of the Dean no later than November 1st, and should include information relevant to the selection criteria set out below.
   
4. Faculty will be selected on the basis of:
   
  a. scholarship plans that will be strengthened through a residency in London;
   
  b. the courses that the faculty member is willing to teach in London (in general, faculty will be expected to teach two (2) large enrollment courses);
   
  c. experience in teaching in study abroad programs in other contexts;
   
  d. management skills -- the professor represents Pace Law School in London, and is responsible, with the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, for all student academic and student service related matters, and in dealing effectively with University College of London administrators;
   
  e. impact on the curriculum taught at PaceLawSchool during the faculty member's absence; and
   
  f. "equity" among qualified faculty.
