HONOREES

Robert S. Tucker, Esq. ‘96
Chairman and CEO, T&M Protection Resources

Since 1999, Robert S. Tucker ’96 has directed the strategic growth and diversification of T&M Protection Resources, a multidimensional security and investigative services company that provides corporations and high net-worth individuals with a full range of products and discrete solutions that enable them to respond to the threats and risks of the 21st century. T&M protects some of the region’s most critical infrastructure, enhancing the work of public safety agencies.

Prior to joining T&M Protection Resources, Mr. Tucker spent nearly a decade in law enforcement management. As Special Assistant to the Queens County District Attorney, he developed an extensive network of contacts in the greater New York law enforcement community, while managing administrative aspects of a major urban prosecutor’s office. He worked closely with high-level members of the New York City Police Department and the City administration, as well as with the FBI, Secret Service and the U.S. Attorney’s Office, where he still maintains valuable relationships.

Mr. Tucker earned his undergraduate degree at George Washington University. Though he no longer practices law, Mr. Tucker credits Pace Law School with helping him to develop critical analytical skills that he uses every day.

“A law degree is a true generalist’s degree,” he says. “It has helped me to think analytically—that’s a skill I use every second. Pace gave me an unbelievable opportunity and I am forever in their debt. My legal education at Pace gave me the foundation that I stand on when I’m out in the community doing what I do.”

In 2009, Governor David Paterson appointed Mr. Tucker to serve as Vice Chairman of the New York State Security Guard Advisory Council. Later that year, he was elected to the Citizen’s Nominating Committee of Scarsdale, where he is Treasurer of the Scarsdale Forum and a member of the Executive Committee of its Board of Directors.

Among his many professional, civic and philanthropic affiliations, Mr. Tucker is a Director of the Federal Drug Agents Foundation, Chairman of the Association of Licensed Detectives of New York State, Vice-President of the Richard Tucker Music Foundation, a member of Pace Law School’s Board of Visitors, a member of the Dean’s Council of the Mt. Sinai Medical Center, and a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization, Metro Chapter.

David Anthony Pope
President and CEO, Generoso Pope Foundation

As the fourth generation to lead the Generoso Pope Foundation, David Anthony Pope, a lifelong resident of Westchester County, carries on a proud family tradition of giving back to his community. The foundation was established in 1947 by Generoso Pope, an Italian immigrant and the owner of a chain of Italian-language newspapers in major cities. It supports grantees ranging from hospitals and nursing homes to cultural events in the community and educational initiatives. David Anthony Pope took over as President and CEO of the foundation in 2005.

Mr. Pope, a resident of Tuckahoe, NY, and a community activist for more than 20 years, has always known the significance of giving back. He has been a dedicated supporter of Westchester’s local police, fire departments, and municipalities in order to promote a safe, efficient and cohesive environment. After the birth of his own children, Mr. Pope became extremely passionate about children’s advocacy and education programs. He endeavors to make sure every child has a safe environment to grow up in and a quality education. Through the foundation, Mr. Pope also sponsors important community events each year, such as the Eastchester-Tuckahoe Columbus Day festivities and Winterfest.

Mr. Pope also devoted much time and energy to fulfilling his great-grandfather’s dream—the establishment of the Westchester Italian Cultural Center. The Center, located in the Generoso Pope Foundation Building in the center of Tuckahoe, opened its doors in 2007. Generoso Pope, an Italian immigrant who made his fortune in the U.S. through hard work, sacrifice and determination, strongly encouraged other Italian immigrants to embrace their new country by learning English and acquiring citizenship. The Center seeks to preserve, promote and celebrate the rich heritage of Italian culture by offering educational programs, exhibits and events that encourage an appreciation of the Italian language, arts, history, cuisine and commerce.

Mr. Pope has received numerous awards and commendations for his contributions to the community from local, state and federal government agencies.
