Gilbert and Sarah Kerlin Distinguished Professorship in Environmental Law

Office of Responsibility: Dean of Law, ext. 4407

The recipient of the Gilbert and Sarah Kerlin Distinguished Professorship in Environmental Law should be a faculty member with a distinguished record of outstanding scholarship, teaching and service in the field of Environmental Law.

The appointment will be for a term of five years, renewable for successive five-year terms upon a showing to the satisfaction of the Dean that the professor has continued to make outstanding contributions during his or her preceding term.

It is expected that the person named as the Kerlin Distinguished Professor will continue during his or her term to work at a level that would justify continuation of the appointment.

The selection of the Kerlin Distinguished Professor will be made by the Dean with the advice of a committee of the present and past Kerlin Professors, and upon nominations from any member of the Pace University School of Law community.

(Per Faculty Meeting Minutes of January 20, 1999)
