Mark R. Shulman (biographical sketch) joined Pace Law School in September 2004. He is currently the Assistant Dean for Graduate Programs and International Affairs. In this capacity, he administers the graduate LL.M. degree programs in Comparative Legal Studies and Environmental Law and the SJD in Environmental Law – including graduate admissions, advising and teaching. Dean Shulman also directs the Visiting Scholars Program and Pace Law School’s international affairs.
Dr. Shulman received his BA from Yale University, a master’s degree in history from Oxford University, a PhD in history from the University of California, Berkeley, and a JD from Columbia University, where he was a three-time Stone Scholar and editor-in-chief of the Columbia Journal of Transnational Law. In addition to having practiced law at Debevoise & Plimpton in New York City, Dr. Shulman has served on the faculties of Yale University, Columbia University’s Law School and its School of International and Public Affairs, the U.S. Air War College and Sarah Lawrence College.
