Professor Nurkin has served as an Assistant Regional Counsel with the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Region 2, since 1989. He has worked as the criminal enforcement coordinator and is presently a senior attorney in the Waste & Toxic Substances Branch. Prior to working for the EPA, he served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Commercial Frauds and Environmental Protection Bureau of the Nassau County District Attorney's Office.
