Climate Change & Corporate Practice (LAW 913)

This course covers the role that corporations play in the global economy and their role in mitigating greenhouse gas emissions.  Discussions will center on the steps that corporations are taking to mitigate climate risk and to integrate climate considerations into their domestic and global business portfolios.  The unique role of outside and in-house lawyers in climate counseling will be discussed, as will securities disclosure issues related to corporate CO2 emissions and transactional aspects of emissions trading.
